Ash watched as River moved flawlessly through the course. She knew her powers wouldn't help much here, fire didn't do much to solid rock. Ash was brought out of her thoughts by the sudden appearance of a wall in front of her. She bunched her legs and lept, grabbing the top of the wall and vaulting herself over. She did much of the same over the next few and landed, panting, next to River.

I was impressed with Ash's progress. It was a harder course for her, since her powers didn't help her much. Glancing at the tunnel where the button was, I gestured to it with a nod of my head, my eyes sparkling with excitement.
"There it is. I'll deal with the weight, so you go and find the button." I said with a grin.

Ash nodded at the strategy. "Okay got it" she said. She readied herself to dash for the button when the rock was lifted. She was just hoping that she wouldn't end up squished by the rock, she enjoyed living. "Let's go" she said.

I held out my hand as we neared the button. Glittering shards that looked like glass seemed to surround the entrance. I closed my eyes, feeling the space with my powers, making sure everything was as it should be. Reopening them, I knew that my powers had almost completely taken away the density of the weight. It still looked solid as a rock, but even a mouse could charge straight through it now. For good measure I managed to add some density to Ash's body. She might find it harder to move, but it would ensure she wouldn't meet any trouble getting to the button.
"It's fine," I called to her, "Just go for the button!" I hoped she would listen and wouldn't ask why the rock was still there. It was there only in sight, so she could save some time by just listening.

Ash looked confusedly at the still present boulder in front of the button. She shrugged and decided to listen and go for it. She lept towards the boulder, finding her body heavier than normal. Must be River's powers she thought to herself. She landed on the edge of the platform with the boulder and charged at it. She moved easily through it and pushed the red button.

The rocks ceased moving. I sighed contentedly. Ash wasn't a bad partner at all, I thought, and my opinion was boosted a bit more when the computer announced that we had set a record time. Sweet. I thought with a grin. I walked up to the platform and leaned against the rock, sinking into it at an angle that made it seem like I was lounging instead of leaning.
"Nice job," I said, smiling at Ash in a friendly way. "You might want to get out from under there soon, though." I wiggled my eyebrows and grinned impishly at her. My sister had often scolded me about teasing people, but I thought it was fun. Maybe I was wrong, but I got a kick out of it, so I wasn't about to stop.
