A 30 year old man walked among the testing facility heading toward a cage.. This one specifically one of his favorites. The cage was on of the largest. For his favorites always had the best room to move around. He thought of it a jail cell.. A cold wet home. The smaller little jails had occasionally a mutant twitching and moving around in their sleep. From nightmares helped caused by the man with dark black hair who walked by. His mind could easily link to each and individual one of them. Well.. Except the rares.
He reached the large jail and stopped in front of it. The lighting was darker then usual. Probably because it was that time of day. When the labs weren't running large tests. The man looked at the figure inside. He could easily tap into this one's mind. It was the death of his sister that broke him. The man always read that in the mind of the future assassin and well personal helper.
"I have an assignment, for you."
he spoke mostly in the mind partially out in words. Though those words seem faint compared to that of the mind. He drew close and opened the locked door of the jail with a small hardly noticeable skeleton key. One special for each lock in the whole test facility. He swung the door open and waited calmly still partially in the shadows.[/blockquote]

Everything was darkness. Time passed by without the man being aware of it. He had grown since the first years of his imprisonment in the way that he didn't mind the silence so much. He didn't feel the need to fill it with the sounds of tears and cries. The silence was the only thing he could depend on. It as the only thing that kept him company in the darkness. He lay with his face pressed against the cold ground, his eyes comfortably shut and his hands resting on either side of him. The young man had lived years in his cell this way, unfeeling and unaware of the world around him. His coarse black hair fell over his skin, making him look almost like he were asleep. But at the sound of footsteps, the boy's eyes shot open. His cell was almost entirely empty, save for a few broken pieces of wood and fabric that had once been a cot. The wood suddenly began splintering itself as the man's eyes flickered towards the opening to his cage. He saw a dark figure and his dull red eyes held a flicker of fear. He pulled himself up, clutching his head as he heard the cold voice. Moving forward, the man inched his way out of the cage, straightening so that his haunting red gaze could fully take in the man before him. The mutant said nothing, merely waited for his task.

"Follow" was all he said before walking toward the other side of the facility. He passed cage after cage. He reached a metal door and he put the skeleton key into it. Clicked the lock and gently swung it open. He walked out motioned for the guards behind to close it behind him. Right after he kept heading down the hall. The lights were much brighter down this hall then they were inside the mutant storage room. The man passed a few labs and rooms that were used to test the subjects.
After what seemed a good while the man made a right turn and then a left and then reached the exit. He opened the exit doors. Still not bothering to look behind him. The hot desert sun slammed onto the man. The degrees were double then they were inside the building. The man seemed none to bother by the sudden increase of temperature. He just walked on the sand past the military vehicles and plans straight toward the home of all the scientist and "successful mutants"
He reached the other side of the facility opened stepped through the automatic sliding doors and into the hotel. The degrees dropped once more however not nearly as cold as it was in the testing facility rooms. He went passed the desk and straight for the elevators. He clicked the button for the elevator to come to the floor. He while waiting patiently for the elevator to come he looked at the mutant. He took in the bad clothing and messy skin and hair. It was most certainly time for this mutant to take a bath. He planned to take the mutant to its room and then when the mutant was all washed up. He was to meet him in the man's suite.
The elevator doors binged to open. "Come"
he said reinforcing the word into the mutant's mind. He stepped on the elevator clicked the button for the tenth floor. The elevator doors shut and it headed toward the tenth floor. It played loosely elevator music.. That was seemingly calming.. The elevator doors binged and The man calmly stepped onto the tenth red carpeted floor. He passed 1000 all the way up to 1008. He stopped at that door. It was painted a green color. As if the whole rooms were Christmas themed down that specific hall. He took out a key from his pocket. Slipped the key into the door. Turn the lock and stepped in. Inside was a small room with he most basic of furniture. He ignored all that and went toward the closet. He opened the closet to reveal nothing but different clothing designs and a few guns and blades. All the rooms were similar in that way in the beginning. The man stepped from the closet and went to the left that had another green door. He turned the door knob to reveal a full set bathroom inside. "Get washed up and dressed." he said in a dark calm voice. He headed toward the door that he had unlocked. Pulled out the small key with his right hand. Placed his left hand in another pocket of his nice black coat. He pulled out a very nice card with a visa symbol on it. He turned back to the mutant. He walked toward the mutant. "Open your hand." he said a tad commandingly.[/blockquote]

The mutant said nothing as he followed the man. He passed the other cages without once looking at them. Perhaps he was afraid of what he would see, or maybe he didn't really care. Confusion clouded the young man's thoughts, making it hard to tell which it was. His chronic state of depression seemed to weigh on him, though, and with his energy went his feelings. He no longer noticed the cages at all, didn't even recognize their existence. He followed the dark-clothed man through different buildings until they came to the hotel. The mutant flinched when the man commanded him to come into the elevator. The music, instead of calming, was almost infuriating. Turning slightly, the mutant focused his mixed emotions on the handlebar of the elevator. He watched emotionlessly as it began denting and warping seemingly on its own. When the doors opened he followed, stopping when his master opened the door of one of the rooms. The mutant stepped inside, looking around him at the clean walls and plain furnishings. He remained where he was while his master opened a couple doors. When the man returned, the mutant held his hand out obediently, his expression as hopeless and almost entirely emotionless as it had been before.

The man placed the two items into the mutant's hand. He then spoke to give the simple details. "This is your new home till further notice"
He then turned around to go out the door. Only to stop at the door frame and give one last command. "Wash up and meet me in my office on the very top floor. Floor 25." As the man walked off he flashed exact pictures of what the mutant should do as this washup. He thoughtfully even included what the mutant was to wear and which weapons would best suite the mutant's fighting skill. As the man reached the elevator he clicked the button and waited. Still sending a step by step process to the mutant in the room. When the elevator came. The man dislocated the thoughts and images. Clicked the button for the twenty-fifth floow and waited as the elevator went up. The elevator went to the floor an binged. His room was the whole floor. He went toward the front desk which just happened to be right at the elevator stop. He went over to the far left side wall. Clicked a button that wasn't visible to the eye. A light glowed and made a shape of two doors. Which slide open to reveal a long hallway. That hallway was lined with many different devices. He went through and picked out six. All of which were small and easy to carry. He stepped out of the hall back to the main room. He snapped his fingers and the doors closed and the light they soon were no longer visible. The man then walked to the main desk. He palced the six items inside a drew to the right. [/blockquote]

The images that flashed through his mind were almost insulting. But he remained numb to the offense, only listening through the instructions and making sure to commit them to memory. Glancing at the mirror across from him, the mutant shivered at what he saw. He hadn't been out of his cage in some time, and it was beginning to show. Letting out a low breath, he watched as a long crack formed in the corner of the mirror. Satisfied, he turned and walked into the bathroom. Casting off his worn clothes, he flipped the water on and stepped in without waiting for it to warm up. The cold didn't bother him. In fact, it seemed to wake his mind up from the sorry state it had succumbed to. Leaning against the wall, Shatter stared at the running water with a distant sort of expression.
"Rosie..." He said softly. Tears threatened to sting his eyes, but he suppressed them, allowing his walls to build themselves back up even as the water warmed on his back. Shatter reached down and picked up a bottle of shampoo. The smooth gel felt nice in his coarse hair, and he wished he could just stay there forever. But he knew that he couldn't keep the boss waiting forever. Throwing a towel around his waist, Shatter made his way into the room. He looked through the clothes, finding the ones that his master had told him to wear. The weapons were mainly lightweight ones. If they could be thrown, they would be worth carrying. Shatter slipped them into the little pockets of his clothes where they wouldn't be noticed. Glancing again at his reflection, Shatter wondered privately how long it had been since his last mission. He had been sixteen when he'd been sent out for the first time. Eighteen the next. He'd been commissioned for about a year, and then had returned to his cell. Almost two years. He thought dully. Well, I guess I have a lot to catch up on. Shatter's thoughts were dry and devoid of much emotion. He couldn't let himself feel, if he were to survive another day. Sometimes he wondered if he wanted to do that.
After dressing and preparing himself, the mutant made his way out of the room, locking the door behind him. He walked to the elevator and waited patiently for it. The ding! it omitted sent a throb of pain through his head. A look of anger flashed on Shatter's face, and the elevator button seemed to shriek as it imploded. Shatter took a few steps into the elevator, clicking the button for the 25th floor. It had been a long time since he'd been there. In fact, the last time had probably been when he was nineteen, before he'd been locked away. Shatter hated the dumb elevator music. It seemed to crowd in on his thoughts and make him feel worse than ever. When the doors opened, he was glad to be rid of that horrid noise. Making his way into his boss's headquarters, Shatter stopped at about the center of the room, turning slightly to look at his boss, waiting silently for orders.

The elevator gave a binged and stepped out was the mutant cleaned and dressed.. Seemingly brand new and ready to be even more broken. Orlando stood up in a greeting and spoke of the new mission. "You are to go to New Jersey. To where you are to meet another operative. This operative is a silver haired girl. Her name is that of Celeste. I have recently heard she has allowed a subject she was to kill. I want you to keep any eye on her."
He held up two hands his fingers curled into quote as he continued "Partner her if you will. You are to watch her every move. Make sure she does not get out of line or break any sort of position in her mission. If she so much has.. Capture her and bring her back. You may beat her till she-cat talk. Just be sure to bring her back. If she gets out of line." He paused letting this all sink in. After that momentarily pause. Orlando moved around his desk to the draw that held the six items. He pulled each on out and placed it on the long desk. The first two items were tracking devices. The third was a large touch screen Android. The fourth was a small device barely even noticeable. This device looked like that of small clip shaped into a small leaf. The fifth item was a tranquilizer in a small container that looked similar to a smaller version of a shot. The last item was an Fake ID. Orlando pointed to the tracking devices he spoke calmly of them. "These are both tracking devices. They can be placed onto your prey or target. To where you can keep a better. This device.." His finger pointed to the droid. "Can be used to track the devices. Simply click the app that says Gps. There is an option called Tracker. This device will also be used for me to contact you or the other way around. If something were to happen click the dial number nine. It will automatically connect you to me. This device can also hack things. If you wish to. Simply click the app called bunny. Point the device to what you plan to hack." He moved his finger to the next item "This fourth object will sent out a signal that will confuse any sort of mutant location scans or mutant scans in general. As long as you have this pin on your body. No scanner will discover your a mutant. Do not let anybody get a hold of this device. Its electronic may be complicated.. However technology specialty mutants may be able to figure it out. We have yet to create a defense. Till then simply destroy the object." He finger moved to the fifth item the tranquilizer. "If the subject you are to keep an eye on was to do something out of her orders or in a way. Act on her own in the wrong sorts. Without a perfectly good excuse. Simply stab her with the need and press the button. The subject would be instantly out less then four seconds." He hand shifted to the final item. "I presume you know what this is. It will allow you to drive any sort of car you wish. The fake Id will scan the car and any sort of scanner will read the car and see what sort of cars you drive. It'll add that car onto the listing. On top of that this card when scanned will allow you into any sort of facility. Even the great pentagon on a whim." He paused and waited calmly for the subject to pocket and place whichever. When that was all done. Orlando continued. "There will be a small plane ready. Get on that plane and head toward the New Jersey airport. From there you may choose any car to your liking and drive it. Or you may use a taxi. If you will so. Here is some cash." He walked over to a small table with a lamp on it. He opened the wooden draw and pulled out a small wad of cash. The cash amounted to three hundred of 20s, ones, and tens.. All held together with a rubber band. He walked over to the desk were the other items were originally. He placed the wad onto the desk. With that he finally finished all the details and information. "She will be staying at the hotel Holiday Inn. Her room will be on the third floor. It will be the eighth room to the right. Her file information is in the middle drew in front of the computer if you wish to view it. As for the card to get into her room. Simply go to the front desk and ask to check in. Their computers are wired for you to appear into her room as well. The attendant won't take any notice for all of Celeste information of staying in that room would have been erased by the time you go there." With all that finished. Orlando walked for the elevator. Clicked the button to go down. It binged and he stepped in. He then closed the doors and set the elevator to to the first floor. Where he planned to go back to the test facility.[/blockquote]

Shatter listened to the boss speak, his expression calm and attentive. He could almost feel the gears of his mind turning, taking in the information and logging it away for future reference. While his tasks were outlined, Shatter mentally made note of some of the other functions his tools could serve for. This would allow him to deal with multiple situations if need be. When the boss offered him one of the six tools, Shatter accepted it and placed it away - either on his person or in a black satchel he'd brought from his room. Plans seemed to be in motion already, which mean he had very little time to act. It was crucial that everything go according to plan. Shatter could not afford to mess up.
"Yes, sir," was all Shatter said when the boss finished giving his instructions. As soon as the boss was gone, Shatter walked to the desk and picked up the money and the smaller objects. He then flipped through the girl's profile. His eyes widened slightly when he read something about a sister that hadn't been seen in years. Interesting. Was all he thought as he read about her powers. Taking a notepad from the desk, he wrote down the address of the hotel and a few other minor details.
Shatter hesitated a moment and then followed the boss's example, walking into the elevator. The doors closed with a solid click, leaving him alone in a suffocatingly small space. Shatter stared straight ahead, studying the silver walls of the elevator and wishing he was holding something he could squeeze or splinter or something. He'd have to grab a rock before he got on the plane. The doors of the elevator opened on the first floor, and Shatter stepped outside in a fluid motion, his mind already focusing on the details of his task. He'd have to go to the facility's private airport and take whatever plane was there. Then it was to New Jersey, he supposed. He would take the car, probably. Even if he'd never gotten his liscence, the fake one that the boss had given him would suffice, along with the training he'd gotten on duty when he was eighteen. Shoving his hands into the pockets of his black trench coat, Shatter took a deep breath and then made his way out of the building.
