River's eyes lit up as she looked at the red-headed boy.
"Really?" She asked, surprised. "So prince charming rescues the damsel in distress and they fall in love, eh? How romantic." She said, smirking slightly. Isago blushed and looked down at his feet, not really sure how to react to the outspoken girl.

Ash felt her cheeks flame up at River's choice of words. She did always love fairy tales as a child, she just never thought about what happened like that. "Yeah, if that's how you want to describe it" she said.

"That is how I would like to describe it, thanks so much." River said with a mischievous grin. Then, glancing at a clock hanging overhead, she started.
"Oh look at the time! I guess I'll leave you two lovebirds alone. See ya!" Waving, the girl trotted out of the room, leaving Isago stunned. He turned to stare at Ash, his expression rather exasperated.

Ash just shook her head at her friend. "Whatever, see you later" she called after the retreating girl. She turned herself back to Isago and smiled. "Sorry about that, she tends to speak her mind" she said "without considering who shes talking to."

"I guess so." Isago said, smiling slightly. "I thought it was kind of funny." He turned back to his food and began cutting some of the meat. It tasted pretty good, all things considered.
"Was this caught here?" He asked out loud, frowning. He didn't really recognize the taste of the meat for some reason.

"It can get annoying" Ash said "but its funny when she does things like that to unsuspecting people."
Ash took another bite of the salad, avoiding the meat on her plate. "It could've been" she said "not many of us know where our food comes from."

Isago looked at her with a slight smile on his face.
"I guess that would explain the chocolate." He said teasingly, feeling less concerned about food and more about the girl beside him. There was a faint sense of the unknown surrounding their relationship, and River's teasing had brought that to the forefront of his mind. Isago wondered what would happen next. He had no experience with relationships, so he couldn't even begin to guess.

Ash shrugged and nodded. "Yeah it's hard to get chocolate around here" she said "so I usually try to get some while I'm out." "So what'd you want to do now?" she asked. Personally, she wanted to get out of the hospital wing and train, but she knew training was out of the question at the moment.

Isago shrugged, not really knowing what to do.
"I don't really know this place all that well," he said sheepishly. "So I couldn't begin to guess what's normal to do around here." Glancing around him at the high stone ceilings of the hospital, he thought that things must really be strange in the Hideout. The organization of the place was strange to him, who was only used to wandering from place to place.

"Well normally we hang around in the game room, workout room, cafeteria or we train" Ash said. "If you wanted to check out the training facilities, I could take you to one" she offered. She wouldn't mind observing how Isago uses his powers and figuring out what they exactly were.

Isago looked at Ash and wondered if she was really up for training. Didn't she need rest after their travels? He supposed she might have different stamina than he did. Isago had to carry his sand with him, which added a lot of weight and made his endurance better in some ways and worse in others.
"Whatever you want to do," he said finally. "Just make sure you're up for it." He added quickly, concern for her making his stomach hurt.

"Well I won't be training for a little while, my arm still hurts" Ash said. "I mean I could train, but I don't like using my powers when I'm not a hundred percent, it worries me" she explained. "But I can watch you practice if you want" she added "I don't mind."

If Isago had possessed eyebrows, they probably would have risen slightly at her words. In any case, his forehead did seemed to move higher, and his eyes widened visibly.
"You want to sit and watch me train?" He asked doubtfully. "Wouldn't that be really boring? My power isn't at all interesting or flashy." He pointed out.

Ash watched as Isago's face took on a suprised expression. "It wouldn't be that boring" she said. "I'm really curious about your power, I want to see what it can do" she explained "it's different than any other I've seen."

Isago frowned.
"Really?" He mused. "I didn't think it was all that weird, really... I guess if you want to see it I don't mind showing you." He said, not really used to the idea of someone feeling safe around him period, let alone while he was using his powers. I've never had someone appreciate me for who I am before... Isago thought. He smiled slightly, unable to conceal the pleasure this new sensation brought him.
