Ash listened to the exchange. She smiled and mouthed 'thank you' to Falling Star for letting him stay.
Ash noticed Isago's look towards her, and she knew where he would benefit best, at least at the moment. "One by me would probably be best" she said, looking at Isago for confirmation.

Falling Star nodded.
"Alright then," she said. "I will arrange everything, so you two just relax. Is there anything you need? I will ask someone to bring you food or something to drink." Falling Star inclined her head slightly. Isago shrugged sheepishly. He was a little hungry, but he wasn't used to be waited on.

Ash smiled happily, she couldn't believe this was actually happening. "That sounds great" she said. "And I'm a little hungry" she added, noticing how Isago was to shy to ask.

Falling Star nodded.
"I will send someone with food immediately, then. Good day," Falling Star said with a polite bow. She turned and made her way out of the concealed area, leaving Isago and Ash alone again.
"She seems nice." He commented, trying not to sound surprised that friends of Ash's were nice. Why shouldn't they be? She was nice.

"See you later" Ash called out after her. She then turned back to Isago, smiling. "Yeah she's nice" she said "she can be bossy though." She reached over with her good hand and grabbed his again. She had missed the contact during the five mintute conversation.

Isago glanced at the place Falling Star had vanished.
"Isn't she someone higher in command, though?" He asked, a bit confused. He'd assumed that Falling Star had some pull, or something. Why else would she be helping them as she was? Plus, if she didn't have any authority, how could she decide whether he would stay or not? Isago was getting slightly confused.

Ash nodded. "Yeah, she's a general" she said "but she's cool." Falling Star was one of the people that Ash considered friends, along with Shadow and River. "She's usually in charge of what missions I go on" she added.

Isago nodded slightly.
"That would make sense then." He sat thinking for a minute, then started when he heard a new set of footsteps. Looking up, he saw a girl with highlighted dark hair cut sharply around her face and cool blue eyes.
"Hey Ash," she said with a smile, "Brought you two some food." She held up two trays that appeared to have some sort of meat on them and a salad in a bowl. There was also cups with something orange - orange juice? - swishing inside of them. How did she carry all that here? Isago wondered privately.

Ash turned her head at the sound of foot steps. She noticed River walk into the room carrying food. "Thanks River" she said, smiling at her friend. "How have you been?" she asked.

"Good," River replied. "It's been sort of boring without you and Shadow around. But hey, looks like you've brought back a new friend. My name's River. What's yours?" She asked as she passed her tray to Isago. He accepted it gratefully.
"Isago," he replied, glancing at Ash with a smile.
"Nice to meet you." River said, holding Ash's tray out for her.

"Yeah I've missed you guys" she said "But I had fun on my journey." She flashed a smile at Isago.
Ash accepted the offered tray. She looked at the food, it hadn't changed much, it still looked food like, but she shrugged and took a bite of the salad.

Isago glanced down at his plate and began picking at the lettuce. River watched him and glanced back at her friend, suspicious. She wondered what had happened between them. Crossing her arms, she narrowed her eyes at Ash, waiting to see if one or both of them would spill the beans so she wouldn't have to ask.

Ash noticed her friend's narrowed eyes. She just looked back down at her salad a picked a few more leaves up. "Is there something you want?" Ash asked River.

"Something's going on." River said, glancing from Isago to Ash. The former looked up at the girl with a curious expression. He wondered what she was talking about. Was there something wrong with the hideout or something?
"So what's going on between you two?" River asked suddenly, causing Isago to almost choke on a lettuce leaf.

Ash's eyes widened, they hadn't even discussed this yet. She wanted to introduce Isago as her boyfriend, but didn't know if he wanted the title. "We're together" she said simply. She couldn't hide anything from her friends.
