A black haired teen boy leaned against the wall in the game room, his yellow wyes scanning for possible competition. Or so it seemed, in reality he was waiting for a certain girl to come down and meet him. Where is she? he asked himself. Shade was becoming annoyed, Shadow was supposed to meet him there about 15 minutes ago, instead he was stuck standing there as the younger mutants stared at him. He wished they were just mind their own damn business and leave him alone.

Shadow made her way through the corridors towards the Game Room. She enjoyed messing around with Shade to loosen herself up from her usual tight, rigid exterior. Glancing at the younger mutants that lulled about, she wondered what they were looking at. Following their stares, Shadow found the mutant she had been coming to hang out with. Smirking, the female mutant realized that he really was someone that stood out. With his fine black hair and wonderfully strange fashion sense, no one could ignore Shade's presence.
"Hey, there," she called out coolly, a calm smile hovering on her lips.

Shade was very close from using one of the younger mutants as an example of his abilities. He was just about to focus his powers when he saw Shadow calmly walk into the game room. He noticed the smile on her lips and glared at her in return.
"Took you long enough" he said, still keeping an eye on the younger mutants. Did none of them know not to stare, especially at him.

Shadow glanced at one of the young mutants, meeting the kid's gaze and causing him to squirm. Then she turned back to Shade and gave him another cold smile.
"River held me up for a bit," she said calmly, "Something about needing help to straighten her hair." Shadow smirked slightly. It was true that River had asked her to help with her hair. It was also true that Shadow had made it worse by trying to help, and had left River steaming over how she was going to fix it.

Shade rolled his eyes. "And how'd that go?" he asked. He imagined it ended in some sort of disaster, probably intentionally.
He subtly adjusted his jacket, his wings were starting to bug him. He hated keeping them hidden to long, it took a lot of energy and became increasingly uncomfortable. He chose to deal with the discomfort rather than showing them and attracting even more attention.

Shadow sighed.
"About as well as could be expected," she said, gesturing to her naturally wavy hair, which was brushed about once a day and hardly dealt with any more than that. While she did wear some makeup - eyeliner and eyeshadow mostly - Shadow wasn't big into hair.
"Anyways, what did you have in mind for today?" She asked, glancing at the Game Room thoughtfully, her hands poised on her hips.

"So it was a disaster?" he asked. He was imagining all the horrible things that could've happened, he felt bad for River.
Shade pondered the question, looking around the room. "How about air hockey?" he asked, looking at the occupied table. It'll be available in a moment he thought to himself.

Shadow tried not to take his comment personally, just shrugged it off. She glanced at the air hockey table and one thin eyebrow rose slightly as she glanced at him.
"It looks to me as if it's being used." She said with a slight smirk on her face. She was already guessing what Shade would say next.

Shade smirked and just shook his head. "We can fix that" he said, smirk still in place. "The question is how do we want to clear it?" he asked. He was tempted just to drain their energy, move them and give it back. He was curious what Shadow would say though.

Shadow rolled her eyes.
"I suppose we can just wait for them to finish their game like a civilized person would." She said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. She wasn't big into using her powers against others - especially not other mutants. Shadow had known too many troubles to warrant her using her powers for her own selfish gains.

"Waitings for losers" Shade said simply. "I'll go get the table now" he said smirking. He slowly walked over to the two younger mutants, his unnatural yellow eyes glaring at them.
"I think you're done here" he said simply.
"Get out of here creep[/i]" one of the boys said to him.
He merely chuckled and shook his head. He concentrated on the boys and their energy, calling it to him. He smiled as a bright glowing ball formed in front of them and they fell to the ground. He held the ball in one hand and moved the boys with the other. Satisfied, he released the energy and let it return to them.
"So we going to play?" he asked, looking over at Shadow, a smirk on his face.

Shadow frowned as Shade crossed the room. She sighed, frustrated, not liking his behavior at all. Crossing her arms over her chest, she leaned against the wall, staring forward as Shade forced his way to the table.
"I don't know if you think that's funny, but it isn't." She said coldly.

Shade noticed Shadow's pose and inwardly cursed. He could tell she was angry with him and knew it wasn't good for him. "Lighten up, it was a little funny" he said hopefully. "Plus they kept staring at me, and you know how I hate that" he said rather loudly, watching the younger mutants avert their gazes. He smiled smugly, he knew how to solve problems.

Shadow sighed.
"It is awfully rude of them, but sucking up their energy isn't any way to deal with that, Shade." She wished he hadn't done that. Now her mood was worsened considerably, and she was tempted to go back to River and try to help her with that messy bit of hair she'd had trouble with.

"But I gave it all back" Shade said, holding up his empty hands to prove his point. He could tell that he really screwed up and he felt bad. He would never tell Shadow, but he sort of had a crush on her and he hated when she was upset or sad. "Sorry" he said, a last attempt to make her less mad.
